D.C. 1 – Red Bulls 0: Points secure as Black-and-Red ease past Metro

D.C. United beats New York Red Bulls 1-0 on Thursday at Audi Field. As it stands, D.C. are currently 7th with 44 points from 43 matches, while Red Bulls sit in 8th, with 43 points from 43.

The first half of the game started favourably for D.C., thanks to Paredes finding the net, at 9 minutes to see out the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For D.C., Mora, Skundrich, Chris Odoi-Atsem, Ábila and Hines-Ike, came on for Paredes, Arriola, Najar, Robertha and Julian Gressel. Red Bulls brought on Carmona, Monzón, Royer, Diarra and Barlow, to replace Fábio Gomez, Andrés Reyes, Klimala, Yearwood and Edwards.

The referee booked Moreno and Najar for D.C.
