Montréal fell to an away defeat at the hands of D.C. United at Audi Field on Monday. After today’s result, D.C. are in 6th place on the table and has 27 points while MON sit in 8th with 23 points after 25 matches.
MON started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Brault-Guillard giving MON the lead in the 16th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Najar equalised for D.C. just before half-time, finishing the first half 1-1.
Black-and-Red started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, thanks to a goal from Kamara in the 54th minute. The game ended 2-1 to D.C..
For D.C., Skundrich, Felipe Martins, Birnbaum and Reyna, came on for Arriola, Nyeman, Najar and Paredes. MON brought on Mihailovic, Bayiha, Toye, Zouhir and Kizza, to replace Ibrahim, Brault-Guillard, Torres, Choiniere and Bassong.
The referee booked Waterman and Kamal Miller for MON.
