D.C. United – Orlando City – Orlando City earn hard-fought win over D.C. United

D.C. were defeated at home by Orlando City at Audi Field on Monday. After today’s result, D.C. are in 10th place, with 6 points from 8 matches, while Orlando sit in 2nd, with 9 points from 8.

Orlando started the game well, thanks to a goal from Pereyra, 8 minutes in, finishing the first half 0-1. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For D.C., Julian Gressel, Kamara, Paredes, Felipe Martins and Asad, came on for Nyeman, Perez, Arriola, Moreno and Mora. Orlando brought on Jansson, Perea, Joey Dezart and Mueller, to replace Michel, Pereyra, Akindele and Júnior Urso.

There were bookings for Hines-Ike and Paredes from D.C. For Orlando, Moutinho, Pereyra, Nani and Mueller saw yellow.

D.C. will play their next fixture at home against Philadelphia Union, while Orlando will face New York Red Bulls away.
