New York Red Bulls on away loss to Columbus at MAPFRE Stadium on Wednesday. Following today’s result, Columbus are in 10th place, with 30 points from 32 matches, while Red Bulls sit in 11th, with 23 points from 32.
Red Bulls started strongly in the first half, thanks to Klimala finding the net, 25 minutes in to take them into the break 0-1 up.
Columbus continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Nagbe finding the net in the 74th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Miguel Berry just before the final whistle to make it 2-1.
For Columbus, Abdul-Salaam, Williams, Fraser, Matan and Miguel Berry, came on for Pedro Santos, Wormgoor, Hairston, Etienne and Díaz. Red Bulls replaced Yearwood, Fernandez, Edwards, Klimala and Cásseres for Clark, Fábio Gomez, Andrés Reyes, Barlow and Diarra.
