New York Red Bulls eased past Columbus Crew in a 2-1 victory on Sunday at MAPFRE Stadium. After today’s result, Columbus and Red Bulls currently occupy 10th and 7th spots in the table, with 38 points and 43 points respectively after 41 matches.

Metro started strongly in the first half, with Cásseres giving Red Bulls the lead early in the first half. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Miguel Berry equalised for Columbus at the 18 minute mark and seeing the first half out 1-1.

Red Bulls continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Nealis finding the net just before the final whistle so at full time it was 2-1 to Red Bulls.
