Columbus Crew eased past Montréal in a 2-1 victory on Sunday at MAPFRE Stadium. As it stands, Columbus are in 9th place on the table and has 34 points while MON sit in 7th with 37 points after 35 matches.
Columbus found the net first, thanks to Zardes finding the net just before half-time
The Crew continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Zardes finding the net again at the 63 minute mark. In the end though, MON just before the final whistle pull-back via a Quioto goal. The game ended with a 2-1 win for Columbus.
For Columbus, Zelarayán, Díaz, Miguel Berry, Abdul-Salaam and Matan, came on for Fraser, Valenzuela, Zardes, Hairston and Etienne. MON brought on Bassong, Miljevic, Ibrahim and Lappalainen, to replace Torres, Piette, Choiniere and Waterman.
The referee booked Williams and Etienne for Columbus.
