Cin 2 – Phili 0- Visitors to Nippert Stadium leave with nothing

Toronto FC fell to an away defeat at the hands of Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium on Sunday. Following today’s result, Cin are in 13th place on the table and has 20 points while Phili sit in 14th with 15 points after 31 matches.

Orange and Blue started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Brenner finding the net, 39 minutes in, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Cin continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Medunjanin finding the net at the 58 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For Cin, Vázquez, Valot, Bailey, Castillo and Harris, came on for Brenner, Medunjanin, Atanga, Barreal and Acosta. Phili brought on Soteldo, Osorio, Lawrence, Deleon and Marshall-Ruty, to replace Mullins, Dwyer, Morrow, Auro and Endoh.

There were bookings for Cameron, Medunjanin, Vallecilla and Valot from Cin, and Morrow, for Phili.

Cin will next travel to Atlanta United, while Phili will face Inter Miami at home.
