Chicago 1 – RSL 0- Claret and Cobalt unable to avoid away defeat

Real Salt Lake fell to an away defeat at the hands of Chicago Fire at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday. After today’s result, Chicago are in 12th place, with 34 points from 42 matches, while RSL sit in 8th, with 42 points from 42.

Chicago started the game well, thanks to Berić finding the net just before half-time The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Chicago, Gutierrez, Offor, Espinoza, Stojanović and Omsberg, came on for Herbers, Berić, Sekulić, Giménez and Medrán. RSL brought on Julio, Meram and Wood, to replace Méndez, Chang and Ruiz.

The referee booked Herbers, Pineda, Giménez and Gutierrez for Chicago.

RSL and Chicago will next play away to FC Dallas and New York respectively.
