Chicago were defeated at home by New England Revolution at SeatGeek Stadium on Thursday. After today’s result, Chicago are in 12th place, with 23 points from 44 matches, while Revs sit in 1st, with 59 points from 44.
It was an impressive opening from Revs, thanks to Henry Kessler finding the net in the 11th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Terán equalised for Chicago just before half-time, which saw the first half end 1-1.
Revs continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Bunbury at the 62 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Giménez at the 64 minute mark, brought Chicago level. In the end though, Revs just before the final whistle took the victory via a Carles Gil goal. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 3-2 to Revs.
For Chicago, Aliseda, Herbers and Stojanović, came on for Kappelhof, Offor and Medrán. Revs replaced Bou, Carles Gil, Buchanan, Bye and Dejuan Jones with Edward Kizza, Caldwell, Traustason, De La Garza and Mafla.
There were bookings for Terán and Medrán from Chicago. For Revs, Caldwell and Carles Gil saw yellow.
Chicago will next travel to Columbus Crew, while Revs will face Inter Miami at home.
