On Sunday, Chicago and Union were held to a 3-3 draw at SeatGeek Stadium. Following today’s result, Chicago and Union currently occupy 14th and 3rd spots in the table, with 5 points and 19 points respectively after 13 matches.
Chicago scored first, thanks to an early calamitous own goal from Glesnes in the 2nd minute. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Sullivan producing an equaliser, 28 minutes in, bringing Union level. Union then scored once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Burke just before half-time. The score at half time was 1-2.
Chicago took the initiative in the second half, with Sekulić finding the net in the 57th minute. The momentum was now with Chicago, who then scored again through a goal from Pineda, 67 minutes in to establish a 3-2. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Sekulić equalised for Union in the 79th minute and seeing the game end 3-3.
For Chicago, Frankowski and Offor, came on for Berić and Stojanović. Union brought on Mbaizo, Przybyłko and Gazdag, to replace Powell, Santos and Sullivan.
There were bookings for Stojanović, Navarro and Herbers from Chicago. For Union, Elliott, Santos, Wagner and Powell saw yellow.
