Benevento fell to a home defeat at the hands of Udinese at Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Sunday. Benevento arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 2-2 draw against Genoa. Udinese lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Cagliari. As the table looks today, Benevento and Udinese sit 17th, (31 points) and 11th, (39 points), in the table respectively, after 33 matches.
Bianconeri started the first half well, thanks to an early goal from Nahuel Molina in the 4th minute. Udinese looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Tolgay Arslan at the 31 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Benevento in turn, then responded, 34 minutes in increasing their lead with an effort from Nicolas Viola, which saw the first half end 1-2.
Udinese started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Jens Stryger Larsen in the 49th minute. Bianconeri looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Jayden Braaf, 73 minutes in to establish a 4-1. Benevento in turn, then responded, on 83 minutes increasing their lead with an effort from Gianluca Lapadula. The game ended with a 4-2 win for Udinese.
For Benevento, Adolfo Gaich, Pasquale Schiattarella, Artur Ionita, Iago Falque and Roberto Insigne, came on for Marco Sau, Nicolas Viola, Fabio Depaoli, Perparim Hetemaj and Bryan Dabo. Udinese brought on Jean-Victor Makengo, Samir and Jayden Braaf, to replace Tolgay Arslan, Jens Stryger Larsen and Stefano Okaka.
