Following a goalless first half, The Black and Gold continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Arango, at 58 minutes. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Fagundez in the 67th minute, brought Austin level. Los Angeles in turn, then responded at the 82 minute mark increasing their lead with an effort from Danny Musovski. The game ended with a 2-1 win for Los Angeles.
For Austin, Redes, Pereira, Gallagher, Djitte and Jiménez, came on for Stroud, Sebastian Berhalter, Fagundez, Domínguez and Cascante. Los Angeles brought on Palacios, Danny Musovski, Bryce Duke and Harvey, to replace Edwards, Crisostomo, Farfan and Rodríguez.
