Atlanta United beat Montréal with a thumping 1-0 victory on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. As the table looks today, both teams are on 8 points and sit in 2nd and 3rd places respectively after 7 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, Atlanta applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Moreno just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Atlanta, Walkes and Mulraney, came on for Franco and López. MON replaced Ahmed Hamdi, Bassong, Hurtado, Kizza and Ibrahim with Johnsen, Lappalainen, Quioto, Choiniere and Mihailovic.

There were bookings for Sosa from Atlanta, and Camacho, Wanyama and Struna, for MON.
