Atlanta 0 – Revs 1- Revs, fearless, go to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and win

New England Revolution beat Atlanta United with a thumping 1-0 victory on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Following today’s result, Atlanta are currently 10th with 13 points from 17 matches, while Revs sit in 1st, with 27 points from 17.

It was an impressive opening from Revs, thanks to Bou giving Revs the lead in the 19th minute to see out the first half 0-1. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Atlanta, Conway and Wolff, came on for Torres and López, Revs brought on Mcnamara, Mafla, Traustason and Bunbury to replace Kaptoum, Dejuan Jones, Polster and Bou.

There were bookings for Franco and Conway from Atlanta, and Henry Kessler, for Revs.

Revs and Atlanta will next play away to Inter Miami and Cincinnati respectively.
