RSL 3 – Caps 1- Claret and Cobalt celebrate victory at home

Real Salt Lake strolled past Vancouver Whitecaps with a 3-1 win on Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium. As things stand, RSL are currently 5th with 12 points from 10 matches, while Caps sit in 11th, with 7 points from 10.

Claret and Cobalt started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Kreilach just before half-time

Caps fought back, with a goal from Brian White in the 54th minute. However, each side looked hungry to win and RSL then found the back of the net at the 92 minute mark thanks to Holt, taking the score to 2-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a second effort from Kreilach just before the final whistle to make it 3-1.

For RSL, Meram, Holt, Everton and Martinez, came on for Julio, Marcelo Silva, Ruiz and Méndez. Caps brought on Cavallini, Teibert and Cornelius, to replace Brian White, Gutiérrez and Caicedo.

There were bookings for Marcelo Silva, Meram, Herrera and Holt from RSL. For Caps, Brown saw yellow.
