Phili 2 – Orlando 3- The Lions, ecstatic seal precious away win

Orlando City defeat Toronto FC 3-2 on Sunday at BMO Field. Following today’s result, Phili are in 12th place on the table and has 5 points while Orlando sit in 2nd with 15 points after 11 matches.

Orlando started strongly in the first half, thanks to an early goal from Akindele in the 2nd minute. Orlando looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a goal from Nani in the 8th minute to establish a 2-0. However, Phili weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Akinola at the 10 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Osorio made it 2-2 in the 39th minute. The score at half time was 2-2.

The Lions continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Júnior Urso at the 84 minute mark, leaving the final score at 3-2.

Both managers used the full entitlement. For Phili, Mullins, Shaffelburg and Dwyer, came on for Akinola, Osorio and Delgado, Orlando brought on Daryl Dike, Mueller and Michel, to replace Akindele, Van De Water and Pereyra.

There were bookings for Delgado and González from Phili. For Orlando, Júnior Urso, Moutinho and Michel saw yellow.
