Cin 0 – COLO 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Nippert Stadium

Colorado Rapids strolled past Cincinnati with a 2-0 win on Sunday at Nippert Stadium. As the table looks today, Cin are currently 14th with 4 points from 11 matches, while COLO sit in 3rd, with 16 points from 11.

The first half of the game started favourably for COLO, thanks to Rubio giving COLO the lead, 21 minutes in, finalising the first half 0-1.

COLO continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Jonathan Lewis at the 73 minute mark, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For Cin, Hagglund, Locadia, Vázquez, Medunjanin and Kovacevic, came on for Vallecilla, Atanga, Kubo, Castillo and Brenner. COLO brought on Jonathan Lewis, Benezet, Moor and Mezquida for Rubio, Barrios, Abubakar and Bassett.

There were bookings for Brenner and Castillo from Cin, and Kellyn Acosta, Abubakar, Price and Wilson, for COLO.

COLO and Cin will next play away to Sporting Kansas City and Chicago Fire respectively.
