As it stands, Liverpool are in 4th place, with 40 points from 23 matches, while Manchester City sit in 1st, with 50 points from 23.
After an uneventful first half, The second half started favourably for Manchester City, with early goal from Ilkay Gundogan in the 49th minute. However, Liverpool found an equaliser 1-1 thanks to a goal from Mohamed Salah, 63 minutes in to bring things level. Manchester City reestablished their lead thanks to a new goal from Ilkay Gundogan, scoring his second goal, 73 minutes in to establish the 2-1. Later, Manchester City scored again and increased their advantage 3-1 thanks to a goal from Raheem Sterling, 76 minutes in.
