Everton eased past Liverpool in a 2-0 victory on Saturday at Anfield. Both Liverpool and Everton arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Liverpool arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Leicester City. Everton, on the other hand, lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Fulham. As it stands, both teams are on 40 points and occupy 6th and 7th places respectively after 25 matches.
Everton started strong and were rewarded, following early goal from Richarlison in the 3rd minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
