Troyes eased past FC Lorient in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday at Stade de l’Aube. Both Troyes and Lorient came from defeats in their previous league games. Troyes were hoping to get something from this game after losing 1-0 to Olympique de Marseille in their previous fixture. Lorient, on the other hand, lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Rennes. As it stands, Troyes and Lorient currently occupy 15th and 16th spots in the table, with 16 points and 15 points respectively after 16 matches.

Troyes dominated the first half, thanks to Renaud Ripart finding the net after only 7 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and Romenique Kouame made it 2-0, 34 minutes in, which saw the first half end 2-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 2-0 at full time.

For Troyes, Yoann Touzghar, Giulian Biancone, Dylan Chambost, Youssouf Kone and Nassim Chadli, came on for Mama Balde, Issa Kabore, Tristan Dingome, Renaud Ripart and Oualid El Hajjam. Lorient brought on Quentin Boisgard, Adrian Grbic, Dango Ouattara and Stephane Diarra, to replace Jerome Hergault, Armand Lauriente, Thomas Monconduit and Terem Moffi.

There were bookings for Issa Kabore from Troyes, and Stephane Diarra, for Lorient.

Troyes will next travel to Lille, while Lorient will face Nantes at home.
