Troyes 1 – Monaco 2- The Monégasques get valuable away win at Stade de l’Aube

Troyes vs. AS Mónaco

Troyes were defeated at home by AS Mónaco at Stade de l’Aube on Sunday. Troyes wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 1-1 draw with RC Strasburg in their previous game. Monaco were beaten 2-0 in the previous match against RC Lens. After today’s result, Troyes are in 20th place, with 1 point from 4 matches, while Monaco sit in 12th, with 4 points from 4.

Monaco dominated the first half, with a goal from Sofiane Diop just before half-time to take them into the break 0-1 up.

Troyes fought back, thanks to Ruben Aguilar finding the net at the 51 minute mark. In the end though, The Monégasques, at 58 minutes took the victory via another Sofiane Diop goal, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Troyes, Issa Kabore, Karim Azamoum, Brandon Domingues and Levi Lumeka, came on for Dylan Chambost, Oualid El Hajjam, Mama Balde and Giulian Biancone. Monaco replaced Wilson Isidor, Axel Disasi, Chrislain Matsima, Eliot Matazo and Ismail Jakobs with Jean Lucas, Guillermo Maripan, Benoit Badiashile, Gelson Martins and Sofiane Diop.

There were bookings for Oualid El Hajjam from Troyes. For Monaco, Guillermo Maripan and Aurelien Tchouameni saw yellow.

Troyes will next play FC Metz away, with Monaco facing Olympique de Marseille at home.
