ASSE were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Reims while Nantes were coming from consecutive wins against RC Lens and FC Lorient. As the table looks today, ASSE are currently 20th with 12 points from 19 matches, while Nantes sit in 7th, with 28 points from 19.
After an un-eventful first half, Nantes continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Randal Kolo Muani in the 83rd minute. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Nantes.
