Paris Saint-Germain beat Reims with a thumping 2-0 victory on Sunday at the Stade Auguste Delaune. Reims arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against FC Metz whilst PSG were coming from consecutive wins against Brest and RC Strasburg. Following today’s result, Reims are in 17th place, with 3 points from 4 matches, while PSG sit in 1st, with 12 points from 4.

PSG started the game well, with Kylian Mbappe giving PSG the lead in the 15th minute, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Les Parisiens continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Kylian Mbappe finding the net again, 63 minutes in, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For Reims, Bradley Locko, Valon Berisha, Mitchell Van Bergen, Alexis Flips and Hugo Ekitike, came on for Moreto Cassama, Nathanael Mbuku, Dion Lopy, Ilan Kebbal and El Bilal Toure. PSG brought on Lionel Messi, Ander Herrera, Leandro Paredes, Presnel Kimpembe and Julian Draxler, to replace Neymar, Georginio Wijnaldum, Marco Verratti, Abdou Diallo and Angel Di Maria.

There were bookings for Hugo Ekitike from Reims, and Marco Verratti, Abdou Diallo and Leandro Paredes, for PSG.

Reims will next play Rennes away, with PSG facing Clermont Foot at home.
