On Sunday, Lens and Lorient were held to a 2-2 draw at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Lens were looking to continue their run, following a 2-0 victory against AS Mónaco. Lorient, on the other hand, had lost their previous match against Montpellier. As it stands, Lens and Lorient sit 6th and 7th places with 6 points and 5 points respectively.
Lens started the first half well, with Jonathan Clauss giving Blood and Gold the lead in the 24th minute. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Armand Lauriente, 27 minutes in brought Lorient level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Thomas Monconduit, 35 minutes in, finishing the first half 1-2.
Lens took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Seko Fofana, 70 minutes in. The final result, Lens 2, Lorient 2.
