Monaco beat PSG with a thumping 2-0 victory on Sunday at Parc Des Princes. PSG were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Nice at home (2-1), the other to Marseille away (2-0). Monaco are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, PSG and Monaco currently occupy 3rd and 4th spots in the league, with 54 points and 52 points respectively after 26 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Monaco, following a goal from Sofiane Diop after only 6 minutes and managed to see out the first half 1-0.

Monaco staged a comeback in the second half, with Guillermo Maripan opening the scoring in the 51st minute. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for Monaco.

For PSG Rafinha, Marco Verratti, Julian Draxler and Danilo Pereira came on for Idrissa Gueye, Ander Herrera, Mauro Icardi and Leandro Paredes, while Monaco brought on Stevan Jovetic, Djibril Sidibe, Aleksandr Golovin and Fode Toure to replace Wissam Ben Yedder, Ruben Aguilar, Sofiane Diop and Kevin Volland.

There were bookings for Idrissa Gueye, Presnel Kimpembe, Leandro Paredes and Kylian Mbappe from PSG and Aurelien Tchouameni for Monaco.

PSG will next play Dijon away, with Monaco facing Brest at home.
