On Sunday, Nimes and Strasburg were held to a 1-1 draw at Stade Des Costieres. Nimes wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Brest in their previous game. Strasburg, on the other hand, were beaten 4-1 in the previous match against PSG. After today’s result, Nimes and Strasburg currently occupy 18th and 14th spots in the table, with 31 points and 37 points respectively after 33 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Nimes certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to Renaud Ripart finding the net at the 55 minute mark. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Dimitri Lienard equalised for The Racers, on 82 minutes, leaving the final score at 1-1.
For Nimes, Niclas Eliasson, Nolan Roux and Karim Aribi, came on for Ludovic Ajorque, Adrien Thomasson, Jean-Eudes Aholou and Habib Diallo. Strasburg brought on Lionel Carole, Jeanricner Bellegarde, Mehdi Chahiri and Dion Moise Sahi, to replace Ludovic Ajorque, Adrien Thomasson, Jean-Eudes Aholou and Habib Diallo.
Nimes will next travel to Lens, while Strasburg will face Nantes at home.
