Nice 2 – Brest 1: The Eagles seal precious win at Allianz Rivera

Nice enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Brest at Allianz Rivera on Saturday. Nice were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Brest, on the other hand, lost 2-1 in the last match they played against FC Metz. After today’s result, Nice are in 3rd place on the table and has 16 points while Brest sit in 19th with 4 points after 9 matches.

The Eagles started strongly in the first half, thanks to Jean-Clair Todibo finding the net just before half-time

Nice continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Melvin Bard at the 61 minute mark. The Pirates in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with an effort from Franck Honorat and seeing the game end 2-1.

For Nice, Kasper Dolberg, Kephren Thuram-Ulien, Lucas Da Cunha and Flavius Daniliuc, came on for Amine Gouiri, Pablo Rosario, Melvin Bard and Jordan Lotomba. Brest replaced Jeremy Le Douaron, Hianga’a Mbock, Julien Faussurier, Youssouph Badji and Hugo Magnetti with Irvin Cardona, Lucien Agoume, Ronael Pierre-Gabriel, Steve Mounie and Haris Belkebla.

There were bookings for Pablo Rosario from Nice. For Brest, Hianga’a Mbock saw yellow.

Nice will play away against Troyes, while Brest will face Reims at home.
