Lyon’s 1-0 win over Nantes on Friday, was hard fought at the Stade de la Beaujoire. Nantes were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Rennes whilst Lyon had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Clermont Foot. As it stands, Nantes are currently 10th with 4 points from 4 matches, while Lyon sit in 6th, with 5 points from 4.
Lyon started the game well, thanks to a goal from Moussa Dembele at the 35 minute mark, finishing the first half 0-1. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
For Nantes, Sebastien Corchia, Samuel Moutoussamy, Roli Pereira De Sa, Charles Traore and Randal Kolo Muani, came on for Dennis Appiah, Andrei, Osman Bukari, Fabio and Marcus Coco. Lyon brought on Thiago Mendes, Islam Slimani and Jason Denayer, to replace Maxence Caqueret, Karl Toko Ekambi and Moussa Dembele.
The referee booked Fabio and Randal Kolo Muani from Nantes. Lyon had the worst of it though, with Damien Da Silva seeing yellow, and Damien Da Silva (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.
