Lorient snatched all three points from Reims in a 1-0 victory on Saturday, at the Stade Yves Allainmat. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Lorient arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Rennes. Reims, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Angers. As it stands, Lorient are currently 17th with 22 points from 24 matches, while Reims sit in 12th, with 28 points from 24.

After a goalless first half, The second half started all good for Lorient, beginning with Laurent Abergel opening the scoring, 53 minutes in, which sealed the victory for Lorient.
