Strasburg snatched all three points from Metz in a 2-1 victory on Sunday, at the Stade Saint Symphorien. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Metz were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 1-0 to St Etienne. Strasburg, on the other hand, lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Lyon. As things stand, Metz and Strasburg currently occupy 7th and 16th spots in the table, with 35 points and 28 points respectively after 25 matches.
Metz found the net, beginning with Thomas Delaine opening the scoring after 17 minutes. However, their lead didn’t last for long, as an equalizer from a Adrien Thomasson in the 33rd minute brought Strasburg level. The score at half time was 1-1.
Strasburg continued to apply pressure the second half, thanks to Adrien Thomasson opening the scoring in the 84th minute to hand victory to the visitors.
For Metz, Warren Tchimbembe, Youssef Maziz and Aaron Leya Iseka came on for Dimitri Lienard, while Strasburg replaced Jeanricner Bellegarde with Dimitri Lienard.
There were bookings for Thomas Delaine and Kiki from Metz and Ibrahima Sissoko for Strasburg.
