Lille 0 – Lyon 0: Les Dogues play out goalless draw at the Stade Pierre Mauroy

On Sunday, Lille and Lyon were held to a 0-0 draw at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. Lille were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Troyes at home (2-1), the other to Rennes away (2-1) while Lyon secured a point against Bordeaux in their previous match. As things stand, Lille are in 11th place, with 25 points from 18 matches, while Lyon sit in 12th, with 24 points from 18.

For Lille, Angel Gomes, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Amadou Mvom Onana, came on for Jonathan Ikone, Jonathan Bamba and Benjamin Andre. Lyon brought on Emerson, Maxence Caqueret, Tino Kadewere, Rayan Cherki and Leo Dubois, to replace Henrique Silva, Thiago Mendes, Islam Slimani, Houssem Aouar and Malo Gusto.

There were bookings for Benjamin Andre and Zeki Celik from Lille. For Lyon, Damien Da Silva, Thiago Mendes, Malo Gusto, Moussa Dembele, Jerome Boateng and Rayan Cherki saw yellow.

Lille will next travel to Bordeaux, while Lyon will face FC Metz at home.
