After a goalless first half, The second half started all good for Lille OSC, with a goal from Yusuf Yazici, 54 minutes in. Later, Lille OSC scored again thanks to a goal from Tim Weah in minute 66 to establish the 2-0. Later, Lille OSC took the lead with a goal form a goal from Jonathan David in the 89th minute just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For FC Girondins de Bordeaux Nicolas De Preville, Tom Lacoux, Amadou Traore and Dilane Bakwa came on for Samuel Kalu, Hatem Ben Arfa, Remi Oudin and Hwang Ui-Jo, while Lille brought on Jonathan David, Luiz Araujo, Boubakary Soumare, Tiago Djalo and Isaac Lihadji to replace Jonathan Bamba, Yusuf Yazici, Renato Sanches, Zeki Celik and Tim Weah.

There were bookings for Hatem Ben Arfa from Bordeaux and Xeka and Renato Sanches for Lille.
