Reims enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against RC Strasbourg at the Stade de La Meinau on Sunday. RC Strasbourg wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Dijon FCO in their previous game. Stade de Reims, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Stade Brestois in their last match. After today’s result, RC Strasbourg are in 15th place on the table and has 24 points while Stade de Reims sit in 12th with 27 points after 22 matches.
After an uneventful first half, Stade de Reims continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with Dereck Kutesa opening the scoring, 80 minutes in, sealing a resounding 1-0 victory for the away side.
For RC Strasbourg Lucien Kevin Zohi and Jeanricner Bellegarde came on for Mehdi Chahiri and Adrien Thomasson, while Reims brought on Dereck Kutesa, Valon Berisha and El Bilal Toure to replace Moussa Doumbia, Mathieu Cafaro and Nathanael Mbuku.
