FC Metz fell to a home defeat at the hands of Troyes at the Stade Saint Symphorien on Sunday. Metz wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Clermont Foot in their previous game. Troyes, on the other hand, lost 2-1 in the last match they played against AS Mónaco. As the table looks today, Metz are currently 17th with 3 points from 5 matches, while Troyes sit in 15th, with 4 points from 5.

After a goalless first half, Troyes certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to an early goal from Gerson Rodrigues in the 50th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Xavier Chavalerin made it 2-0 in the 84th minute with a final score of 2-0.

For Metz, Pape Ndiaga Yade, Nicolas De Preville and Boubacar Traore, came on for Thomas Delaine, Lamine Gueye and Habib Maiga. Troyes brought on Tristan Dingome, Mama Balde, Oualid El Hajjam, Tanguy Zoukrou and Dylan Chambost, to replace Yoann Touzghar, Gerson Rodrigues, Issa Kabore, Yoann Salmier and Giulian Biancone.

There were bookings for Habib Maiga and Nicolas De Preville from Metz, and Karim Azamoum, for Troyes.

Metz will next travel to RC Strasburg, while Troyes will face Montpellier at home.
