After a goalless first half, Metz took the initiative in the second half, with Farid Boulaya giving The Maroons the lead, 90 minutes in. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Arek Milik equalised for The Phocaeans just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.
