Bordeaux 1 – Angers 1: All even at the Matmut Atlantique Stadiums against Le SCO

Bordeaux vs. Angers SCO

On Sunday, Bordeaux and Angers were held to a 1-1 draw at the Matmut Atlantique Stadiums. Bordeaux wanted to improve their league standing after a 2-2 draw against Olympique de Marseille. Angers were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Lyon and RC Strasburg. After today’s result, Bordeaux and Angers currently occupy 15th and 2nd spots in the table, with 2 points and 7 points respectively after 3 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Bordeaux, thanks to a goal from Sekou Mara in the 10th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Romain Thomas equalised for Angers in the 38th minute, which saw the first half end 1-1. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-1.

For Bordeaux, Remi Oudin, Yacine Adli, Edson Mexer, Samuel Kalu and Jimmy Briand, came on for Timothee Pembele, Toma Basic, Laurent Koscielny, Sekou Mara and Hwang Ui-Jo. Angers brought on Stephane Bahoken, Azzedine Ounahi and Casimir Ninga, to replace Sofiane Boufal, Angelo Fulgini and Mohamed-Ali Cho.

The referee booked Ricardo Mangas and Enock Kwateng for Bordeaux.

Bordeaux will next travel to Nice, while Angers will face Rennes at home.
