Tigres UANL’s Miguel Herrera gets winning start at Estadio Caliente. Today’s result, Xolos are in 15th place on the table and has 0 points while Tigres sit in 4th with 3 points after 1 match.

It was an impressive opening from Tigres, with a goal from Carlos Gonzales in the 8th minute, finishing the first half 0-1.

Los Tigres continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Juan Vigon finding the net in the 56th minute. In the end though, Xolos, at 74 minutes hit back though following a Brayan Angulo goal. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

For Xolos, Misael Doíinguez, Christian Ortiz, Lucas Rodriguez, Miguel Sansores and Edgar Lopez, came on for Marcel Ruiz, Fidel Martinez, Eryc Castillo, Mauro Manotas and Víctor Guzman. Tigres brought on Raymundo Fulgencio, Jesús Garza, Aldo Cruz, Adrian Garza and Juan Sanchez, to replace Carlos Gonzales, Erick Avalos, Francisco Venegas, Javier Aquino and Nicolas Lopez.

There were bookings for Esteban Pavez from Xolos. For Tigres, Juan Sanchez saw yellow.

In the second round of action in the Liga MX de Apertura, both Tigres and Xolos will play away against Deportivo Toluca and León respectively.
