Guadalajara lost their first match in the new Liga MX de Apertura campaign against San Luís. Today’s result, Chivas and San Luís currently occupy 15th and 4th spots in the table, with 0 points and 3 points respectively after 1 match.
San Luís started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Jesus Pinuelas giving San Luís the lead at the 12 minute mark, seeing out the first half 0-1.
San Luís continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Adam Bareiro at the 65 minute mark. Chivas in turn, then responded in the 79th minute increasing their lead with an effort from Angel Zaldívar, leaving the final score at 2-1.
For Chivas, Jose Godinez, Alejandro Organista, Alejandro Mayorga, Deivoon Magana and Oribe Peralta, came on for Sergio Flores, Jesus Sanchez, Miguel Ponce, Cristian Calderon and Carlos Cisneros. San Luís brought on Andres Vombergar and Emmanuel Garcia, to replace Adam Bareiro and Jose Rivaldo Lozano.
