Levante defeat Eibar 2-1 on Sunday at Ciutat de Valencia. Levante were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 2-1 to Villarreal. Eibar had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 2-0 victory against Granada. Following today’s result, Levante and Eibar currently occupy 12th and 15th spots in the league, with 21 points and 19 points respectively after 18 matches.
After an uneventful first half, The second half started favourably for Eibar, thanks to a goal from Takashi Inui, 51 minutes in. However, their lead didn’t last for long, as an equalizer from a goal from Gonzalo Melero in the 65th minute brought Levante level. Later, Levante scored again and turned the match thanks to a goal from Jose Luis Morales, 76 minutes in, sealing a resounding 2-1 victory for the home side.
