Leeds snatched all three points from Southampton in a 3-0 victory on Tuesday, at Elland Road. Leeds United were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Southampton, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Leeds United are in 10th place, with 35 points from 18 matches, while Southampton sit in 14th, with 30 points from 18.

Leeds United continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, with Stuart Dallas opening the scoring, 78 minutes in. Later, Leeds United scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Raphinha in the 84th minute to hand victory to the hosts.
Both managers used all available substitutions. For Leeds, Helder Costa, Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez came on for Jack Harrison, Mateusz Klich and Tyler Roberts, while Southampton brought on Takumi Minamino, Danny Ings and Moussa Djenepo to replace Nathan Tella, Nathan Redmond and Oriol Romeu.
