Wycombe Wanderers beat Lincoln City with a thumping 1-0 victory on Saturday at Adams Park. Wycombe were looking for a victory following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic in their previous game. Lincoln City lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Bolton Wanderers. After today’s result, Wycombe are in 2nd place, with 10 points from 4 matches, while Lincoln City sit in 17th, with 4 points from 4.
The Chairboys started the game well, thanks to an early goal from Sam Vokes in the 3rd minute, seeing out the first half 1-0. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
For Wycombe, Sullay Kaikai and Anis Mehmeti, came on for Nick Freeman and Daryl Horgan. Lincoln City brought on Daniel N`Lundulu, Teddy Bishop and Lewis Fiorini, to replace Tom Hopper, Conor McGrandles and Lasse Sorensen.
There were bookings for Curtis Thompson, Sam Vokes and Jack Grimmer from Wycombe, and Liam Bridcutt, for Lincoln City.
Lincoln City and Wycombe will next play away to Oxford United and Sunderland AFC respectively.
