Sunderland AFC 1 – Bolton Wanderers 0: Visitors unable to get win at Stadium of Light

On Saturday, Bolton Wanderers suffer an away defeat to Sunderland AFC at Stadium of Light. Sunderland AFC wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Fleetwood Town in their previous game. Bolton Wanderers lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Rotherham United. Sunderland AFC started the game well, with Carl Winchester finding the net at the 17 minute mark. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Sunderland AFC, Leon Dajaku, Niall Huggins, Corry Evans and Bailey Wright, came on for Alex Pritchard, Dennis Cirkin, Elliot Embleton and Callum Doyle. Bolton Wanderers replaced Lloyd Isgrove, Liam Gordon and Joshua Sheehan for Elias Kachunga, Declan John and Kieran Lee.

There were bookings for Luke O’Nien from Sunderland AFC, and Eoin Doyle, Oladapo Afolayan and Ricardo Santos, for Bolton Wanderers.
