Sunderland AFC 1 – AFC Wimbledon 0: Visitors to Stadium of Light leave with nothing

Sunderland AFC strolled past AFC Wimbledon with a 1-0 win on Saturday at Stadium of Light. Sunderland AFC were hoping to get something from this game after losing 1-0 to Burton Albion in their last match. AFC Wimbledon, on the other hand, secured a point against Gillingham FC in their previous match. As the table looks today, Sunderland AFC are in 5th place on the table and has 9 points while AFC Wimbledon sit in 14th with 5 points after 4 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Sunderland AFC applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Carl Winchester giving Sunderland AFC the lead at the 64 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-0.
