Doncaster Rovers strolled past Rochdale with a 2-1 win on Saturday at Spotland. Rochdale arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Crewe Alexandra. Doncaster Rovers lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Fleetwood Town. Following today’s result, Rochdale are in 21st place on the table and has 44 points while Doncaster Rovers sit in 12th with 64 points after 45 matches.

Doncaster Rovers started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Taylor Richards at the 30 minute mark, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Doncaster Rovers continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Taylor Richards finding the net again, 56 minutes in. Rochdale in turn, then responded at the 83 minute mark increasing their lead with an effort from Matt Done so at full time it was 2-1 to Doncaster Rovers.

Rochdale will next travel to Milton Keynes Dons, while Doncaster Rovers will face Peterborough United at home.
