Plymouth Argyle 3 – SWFC 0- The Owls sunk with 3 goals at Home Park

Plymouth Argyle beats Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 on Saturday at Home Park. Plymouth Argyle arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Fleetwood Town. SWFC lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Morecambe FC. As it stands, Plymouth Argyle are in 8th place on the table and has 11 points while SWFC sit in 12th with 10 points after 7 matches.

Plymouth Argyle didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Joe Edwards opening the rout after only 7 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and Dan Scarr made it 2-0 just before half-time, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

Plymouth Argyle continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Ryan Law just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 3-0.

Plymouth Argyle brought on Jordan Garrick, Kieran Agard and Ryan Law for Joe Edwards, Luke Jephcott and Conor Grant. SWFC brought on Olamide Shodipo, Saido Berahino and Theodor Corbeanu, to replace Jack Hunt, George Byers and Sylla Sow.

There were bookings for Jordan Houghton from Plymouth Argyle. For SWFC, Sam Hutchinson, George Byers, Sylla Sow and Lee Gregory saw yellow.

Plymouth Argyle will next travel to AFC Wimbledon, while SWFC will face Shrewsbury Town at home.
