Plymouth Argyle 1 – Fleetwood Town 1: Points shared at Home Park after draw

Plymouth Argyle were held to 1-1 draw by Fleetwood Town down on Saturday at Home Park. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Plymouth Argyle were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 3-0 victory against Shrewsbury Town. Fleetwood Town, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-2 victory against Cheltenham Town. As the table looks today, Plymouth Argyle are in 12th place on the table and has 8 points while Fleetwood Town sit in 18th with 4 points after 5 matches.

Plymouth Argyle started the first half well, with Ryan Hardie giving Plymouth Argyle the lead at the 21 minute mark. However, their lead was short lived, as Callum Camps equalised for Fleetwood Town, 35 minutes in, which brought Fleetwood Town level at 1-1 at the half time break The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Both managers used all available substitutions. For Plymouth Argyle, Jordan Garrick, Ryan Law and Rhys Shirley, came on for Joe Edwards, Conor Grant and Ryan Hardie, Fleetwood Town brought on Jay Matete, Anthony Pilkington and Ryan Edmondson to replace Callum Camps, Callum Morton and Shayden Morris.

The referee booked Darnell Johnson and Tom Clarke for Fleetwood Town.

Plymouth Argyle will next travel to Portsmouth FC, while Fleetwood Town will face Wigan Athletic at home.
