On Tuesday, Peterborough United and Doncaster Rovers were held to a 2-2 draw at Abax Stadium. Peterborough United were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Charlton Athletic. Doncaster Rovers, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Fleetwood Town. As it stands, Peterborough United are currently 2nd with 83 points from 22 matches, while Doncaster Rovers sit in 13th, with 61 points from 22.

It was an impressive opening from Peterborough United, thanks to Joe Ward finding the net in the 9th minute. The momentum was now with Peterborough United, who then scored again through a goal from Sammie Szmodics after 23 minutes to establish a 2-0. Doncaster Rovers in turn, then responded, 37 minutes in increasing their lead with an effort from Fejiri Okenabirhie to see out the first half 2-1.

Doncaster Rovers took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Taylor Richards at the 59 minute mark. The game ended 2-2.

For Peterborough United, Harrison Burrows and Ethan Hamilton, came on for Dan Butler and Louis Reed. Doncaster Rovers brought on Taylor Richards and Tyreece John-Jules, to replace Josh Sims and Omar Bogle.

There were bookings for Dan Butler, Louis Reed and Frankie Kent from Peterborough United. For Doncaster Rovers, Andy Butler, Matthew Smith and Jason Eyenga-Lokilo saw yellow.

Peterborough United will next play Lincoln City at home, with Doncaster Rovers facing Rochdale away.
