Milton Keynes Dons snatched all three points from Portsmouth FC in a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday, at Stadium Mk. Milton Keynes Dons were looking for a victory following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town in their previous game. Portsmouth FC, on the other hand, lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Wigan Athletic. As it stands, Milton Keynes Dons are currently 5th with 12 points from 7 matches, while Portsmouth FC sit in 11th, with 10 points from 7.

After an un-eventful first half, Milton Keynes Dons piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ethan Robson giving Milton Keynes Dons the lead, at 72 minutes. The game ended 1-0.

Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Milton Keynes Dons, Josh McEachran, Peter Kioso and Max Watters, came on for Hiram Boateng, Tennai Watson and Troy Parrott, Portsmouth FC brought on Ronan Curtis, Mahlon Romeo and Ellis Harrison, to replace Recco Hackett-Fairchild, Kieron Freeman and John Marquis.

There were bookings for Andy Fisher and Troy Parrott from Milton Keynes Dons. For Portsmouth FC, Shaun Williams saw yellow.

Milton Keynes Dons will next play Gillingham FC away, with Portsmouth FC facing Cambridge Utd at home.
