On Saturday, Lincoln City and Plymouth Argyle were held to a 2-2 draw at Sincil Bank. Lincoln City were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 2-0 to Morecambe FC. Plymouth Argyle, on the other hand, were unable to beat Crewe Alexandra in a 1-1 draw. After today’s result, Lincoln City are currently 16th with 12 points from 11 matches, while Plymouth Argyle sit in 3rd, with 20 points from 11.
Plymouth Argyle started strongly in the first half, thanks to Ryan Hardie giving Plymouth Argyle the lead, 25 minutes in, finishing the first half 0-1.
Lincoln City took the initiative in the second half, with Lasse Sorensen finding the net, 66 minutes in. However, each side looked hungry to win and Plymouth Argyle then found the back of the net, at 74 minutes thanks to Brendan Galloway, taking the score to 2-1. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Anthony Scully equalised for Lincoln City just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 2-2 draw.
For Lincoln City, Jamie Robson, Max Sanders and Chris Maguire, came on for Liam Bridcutt, Regan Poole and Cohen Bramall. Plymouth Argyle brought on Kieran Agard, to replace Ryan Hardie.
There were bookings for Teddy Bishop, Daniel N`Lundulu, Chris Maguire and Anthony Scully from Lincoln City. For Plymouth Argyle, Dan Scarr and Joe Edwards saw yellow.
Lincoln City will next play Wigan Athletic away, with Plymouth Argyle facing Burton Albion at home.
