Hull City enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank on Saturday. Lincoln City had been hopeful of continuing their run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Burton Albion away (1-0), the other to Bristol Rovers away (1-0). Hull City, on the other hand, were unable to beat Sunderland AFC in a 2-2 draw. Following today’s result, Lincoln City are in 4th place on the table and has 72 points while Hull City sit in 1st with 86 points after 44 matches.

Hull City started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to an early goal from Josh Magennis in the 4th minute, finalising the first half 0-1.

Lincoln City took the initiative in the second half, with Lewis Montsma finding the net at the 65 minute mark. In the end though, Hull City, 83 minutes in took the victory following a Mallik Wilks goal, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For Lincoln City, Cohen Bramall, James Charles Jones, Liam Bridcutt and Tom Hopper, came on for George Honeyman, Keane Lewis Potter, Regan Slater and Josh Magennis. Hull City brought on Reece Burke, Gavin Whyte, Dan Crowley and Tom Eaves, to replace George Honeyman, Keane Lewis Potter, Regan Slater and Josh Magennis.

There were bookings for Jorge Grant and Conor McGrandles from Lincoln City, and George Honeyman, Mallik Wilks and Tom Eaves, for Hull City.

Lincoln City will next play Peterborough United away, with Hull City facing Wigan Athletic at home.
